Broadway Kids Studio offers a variety of acting classes for both children and adults of all experience and levels. Classes include character development, dialects, monologues, scenes, script writing, TV and film readings, commercials, auditions, and more. Acting is an integral part of the performing arts and we believe with the right training any actor can become a triple threat. Whether you want to pursue acting as a career or simply enjoy the art of acting, Broadway Kids Studio is the place to help you develop these skills.

Acting 101 - Acting 101 is a well rounded class for students of all ages and levels. Students will learn basic stage directions, work on both stage and film scenes, create commercials, and prepare for auditions. 

Audition Workshop - Audition Workshop is a well rounded class for students of all ages and levels. Students will learn basic stage directions, work on both stage and film scenes, create commercials, and prepare for auditions.  Students will also be given sides, sample 16-bar musical theater songs, head-shots, resumes, and have the opportunity to create a portfolio to better prepare them for auditions.

Improvisation - Our improvisation class teaches students to act and react on the spot without the benefit of a script. Students will play many improvisational games that will develop comedic timing, create characters, and build self confidence when reacting on stage. This class is open to all ages and skill levels.

Triple Threat - Triple Threat is a musical theater class that combines singing, dancing, and acting all into one class. This is a great introductory class for students who enjoy all the aspects of the performing arts. The class includes basic jazz technique, jazz combinations, vocal warm-ups, singing, and acting. This class is open to all ages and skill levels. Students enrolled in this class will also have the opportunity to participate in Broadway Kids Studio’s annual recital.

TV and Commercial Acting - This class focuses on television and film acting styles. It is designed to challenge students regardless of experience level. Students will learn the basic audition skills needed to succeed and most commonly used industry vocabulary. The class includes script reading, commercial performances, story board creation, and acting exercises. All students will also have their headshot and resume prepared by one of our professional teachers. Students enrolled in this class will also have the opportunity to participate in Broadway Kids Studio’s annual recital.

AUDITION AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

Broadway Kids Studio holds auditions for both musicals and plays throughout the year.  We perform most productions on-site at our very own Black Box Theater which seats up to 80. Some select performances are held at larger theaters. Private Lessons are also available in all acting styles. Broadway Kids Studio has successfully prepared students for auditions for productions, commercials, movies, and scholarships in both middle schools and high schools. Students enrolled in private lessons will also have the opportunity to participate in Broadway Kids Studio’s annual recital.
